Kings & Queens Set for Action-Packed Weekend at Baxter Arena
The Omaha Kings and Omaha Queens return to Baxter Arena for a high-energy, community-focused weekend of professional arena soccer on Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17, featuring four matches, a youth development clinic, and special theme nights designed to bring fans of all ages into the arena.
With back-to-back doubleheaders and multiple promotional events, the weekend showcases everything that makes Kings & Queens game nights one of Omaha’s most unique sports experiences.
Friday, January 16 — UNO Student Night
Friday night kicks off the weekend with UNO Student Night, celebrating the University of Nebraska at Omaha community. UNO students receive free admission with a valid student ID, while faculty and staff can purchase $6 tickets at the box office.
The action begins with the Omaha Queens vs. Iowa Demon Hawks at 6:00 PM, followed by the Omaha Kings vs. Iowa Demon Hawks at approximately 8:00 PM. (The men’s kickoff time may shift slightly depending on the flow and stoppages of the first match.)
The evening will feature a live performance of the National Anthem by Brooke Margheim along with DJ NextOne bringing a high-energy, game-night soundtrack to keep the atmosphere electric throughout the night.
Saturday Morning — Youth Winter Intensive Clinic
Saturday begins with player development as the Kings and Queens host their Winter Intensive Youth Clinic from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Baxter Arena.
Open to competitive players ages U9–U15, the clinic provides professional arena-style training led by Kings and Queens coaches and players.
Each participant receives:
— A free Kings or Queens T-shirt
— A complimentary ticket to Saturday night’s matches
— The option to take part in player walkouts before kickoff
The clinic connects young athletes directly with the professional game, making Saturday a true full-circle experience for Omaha’s next generation of players.
Saturday, January 17 — Youth Night at Baxter Arena
Saturday night is dedicated to young fans with Youth Night at Baxter Arena. Fans 16 and under can purchase $10 youth tickets (plus NE Sales tax) at the box office on game day.
The Queens return to face the Iowa Demon Hawks at 5:00 PM, followed by the Omaha Kings vs. the Minnesota Blizzard at 7:00 PM.
In addition to the on-field action, families can enjoy face painting on the concourse by Ima Clown, a game-day soundtrack provided by DJ NextOne, and players available for post-game autograph signings on the concourse, creating a fun and interactive game-night experience for youth and families.
With fast-paced arena soccer, youth-focused pricing, and young players from the morning clinic participating in pregame walkouts, Saturday delivers a family-friendly yet high-energy atmosphere throughout the arena.
A Full Weekend of Professional Arena Soccer
